With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreading more and more around the world each day, it's natural to worry about the health of yourself, your friends and your family. In these uncertain times it's incredibly important to take a break from worrying and to invest in your wellbeing and to cultivate compassion for yourself and others.
I hope you enjoy this 25 minute meditation practice which is designed to help you develop more equanimity and compassion in these challenging times. After a short introduction, the practice starts with some guided mindfulness meditation on the breath. Then it moves into a guided practice where we recognize our humanity and the humanity of all affected by the coronavirus. We then practice sending well wishes to ourselves, our loved ones, those caring for the sick and people sick and fighting coronavirus. We do this through a loving kindness practice (metta).
